Firefox, LJ and oddness.

Well, I figured out what the hell was up with my icons.

I thought it was a firefox problem, but nobody had heard of it. So I just resigned myself to having to check my icon every time I commented. Annoying.

I also have LiveJournal Hook, a very useful extension that puts all the LJ tags and such in a right click menu so you can use them easily in comments and such. It's very, very useful.

And there's a settings box. And in that box?

A "Use Random Icon" ticky. Which, by default, is ticked. ARG! All this time, I thought it was Firefox, and it turns out I installed the thing that's screwing it up! So, I un-tickyed. And now it's fine.

What other extensions do I have?

Deepest Sender: ctrl+\ gets you a LJ post window. Easy to use, but the spelling option is broken.

RiteOfTongue: adds a spell checker to the right-click menu. Great for posts in progress (though it doesn't work in Deepest Sender, damnit) All I have to do is click on a word, and it tells me what I think it should be. Uses Yahoo Suggest, or Google Suggest, so it knows words that Word Does Not Know. I use this a lot.

TinyURL : Click on a long url, right click, and it makes a short url for you that never expires. Useful for long, long urls that break in emails. I also have the toolbar that puts a button that does the same for the url you're currently at.

IE View: does what it says. Some sites ::cough::MSN/launchMusic::cough:: won't work in firefox, so I set those to automatically pop up in IE.

I love me some firefox! ::hugs::
